Independence Bridge in Bay City closed until March 31

BAY CITY, Mich. (WNEM) - The Independence Bridge in Bay City is closed until March 31.

Bay County Central Dispatch made an announcement to remind the public on Tuesday, March 21 that the bridge will be closed until the end of the month.

It was announced it will be closed for maintenance on March 15.

The bridge is scheduled to reopen after 11 p.m. on March 31.

The Bay City Bridge Partners said tolling on the Independence Bridge will not begin until after substantial completion of construction, which is scheduled for 2024.
